Full Professor Position in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering at University of Nevada, Reno
The University of Nevada, Reno (UNR) Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering (CME) invites applications from outstanding candidates for a faculty position at the level of Full Professor in Materials Science and Engineering. However, exceptional candidates at the Associate Professor level will also be considered. Candidates with a doctorate degree in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering will be preferred. The candidate is required to have a proven, funded research record in her/his area of specialization. Preferred areas of research include renewable energy and energy-related materials, including but not limited to hydrogen research, batteries, solar-thermal, photovoltaics, fuel cells, and advanced materials for geothermal power. The selected candidate will also be expected to teach graduate and undergraduate courses, supervise MS and PhD students, and engage in outreach activities. Interested candidates will have an opportunity to be considered for the position of Director of the University of Nevada’s Renewable Energy Center.
