Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship 2022-2023 | Fully Funded

Applications are invited for Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship 2022-2023 for International students. So, Aga Khan College is one of the well-known organizations that provides high-quality education that focuses on students’ knowledge, careers, and personal development. Similarly, the Aga Khan Foundation awards a limited number of postgraduate scholarships each year to outstanding students from select developing countries who have no other means of financing their studies, with the goal of developing effective scholars and leaders and preparing them for employment, primarily within the AKDN.

Scholarships are distributed on a 50/50 basis through a competitive application procedure once a year in June or July. The Foundation priorities requests for Master’s level courses but is ready to accept applications for PhD programmes only in the event of excellent students who have been strongly recommended for doctoral study by their teachers and who require a PhD to achieve their professional goals (academic or research oriented). Eligibility Criteria

1. Geographic Coverage of Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship 2022

Nationals of the following countries are eligible to apply: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Syria, Egypt, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Madagascar, and Mozambique. Additionally, applications are accepted in France, Portugal, the United Kingdom, the United States of America, and Canada from people who originates from one of the aforementioned poor countries, are interested in development-related courses, and have no other means of funding their study.

2. Requirement for Residency

Moreover, The Foundation only accepts applications from the above-mentioned qualified nationals who live in one of the countries with local Aga Khan Foundation (AKF), Aga Khan Education Services (AKES), or Aga Khan Education Board (AKEB) offices that process applications and interview applicants.

3. Age Limit

Criteria of Selection of Aga Khan Foundation Scholarship 2022

The following criteria used to choose award recipients:

  • Consistently strong academic records.
  • Actual financial need.

  • Relevance of the field of study to AKDN’s key areas.

Candidates will also examine based on their intelligent and logical educational and career objectives, extracurricular interests and achievements, ability to fulfil their goals, and chances of success in a foreign academic environment. Financial Support

Furthermore, The Foundation solely helps students with tuition and living expenses and travel expenses not covered by AKF scholarships. Also, PhD programmes only funded for the first two years of study, after which students obliged to find alternate means of support. Financial aid offers based on the requirements of the students, however the ISP should regard as a lender of last option.

Condition of Loan

In addition, Half of the scholarship money is deemed a debt that must repay with a 5% yearly service fee and the loan agreement must co-sign by a guarantor. Additionally, The International Scholarship Programme of AKF has decentralized application procedures. Also, students can get application forms through AKF offices or Aga Khan Education Services / Boards in their countries of current residency beginning on January 1st of each year.
