Description of Scholarship
Zaragoza Logistics Center (ZLC) and Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) are awarding one full tuition scholarship for a qualified applicant with a background or experience in interacting with public health and/or humanitarian and development aid agencies in addition to an interest in pursuing a career in humanitarian logistics to undertake the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program in the academic year 2011-2012.
The scholarship holder must make a contractual commitment to work for Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) for a period of at least two years upon graduation of the ZLOG Program.
Through this scholarship, the Foundation hopes to attract outstanding future leaders who can make a vital contribution to filling the capacity gap in humanitarian aid organizations for welltrained supply chain and logistics professionals dedicated to the field of health and humanitarian logistics.
Eligibility
Scholarships are awarded only to students who have been admitted to the MITZaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program through the Foundation’s regular admissions procedure.
The applicants should display exceptional academic achievement and distinctive personal accomplishment in addition to an interest in pursuing a career in humanitarian logistics.
To be eligible you must comply with the following criteria:
- Granted admission to the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program.
- Fluency in English, minimum TOEFL score of 105 points in the Internet based test. The ability to also speak French is a plus.
- Completion of a four year undergraduate program equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree.
- Professional excellence with a background or experience in developing countries, interaction with or working for public health or humanitarian and development aid agencies.

The scholarship covers full tuition for the MIT-Zaragoza Master of Engineering in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (ZLOG) program, which amounts to €21,500 to a student of the academic year 2011-2012.
The scholarship will not include other costs such as living or travel expenses to Zaragoza or to Boston for the international exchange.
