Post-Doctoral Position in Stereopsis and S3D Media, York University, Canada Post-Doctoral position in stereopsis and S3D media We are seeking an enthusiastic Post-Doctoral student to collaborate with on an innovative project that combines the arts and the sciences. The goal of the project is to study perception of stereoscopic 3D in moving imagery, and feed the results back into the filmmaking process, eventually creating a 3D installation piece that will be exhibited publically. The work is partially funded by a New Media Initiative Grant awarded to Ali Kazimi (Department of Film), Robert Allison (Department of Computer Science and Engineering), and Laurie Wilcox (Department of Psychology). The candidate must have a PhD in a field related to the visual sciences and a background in visual psychophysics. We are seeking someone with a keen interest in stereoscopic vision and 3D media, so experience in this domain will provide an advantage.
