Singapore Government Scholarship for International Students 2022

The (SGS) Singapore Government Scholarship for International Students offers highly qualified persons the opportunity to pursue undergraduate education at leading international or domestic universities. So, as a scholarship recipient, you will pursue a rewarding career as a Senior Officer in one of the Home Team departments. Further, study at a prestigious international or domestic university and embark on a lucrative career as a Senior Officer in a Home Team department, a mid-term scholarship is offered.

Additionally, The University of Technology and Design in Singapore is seeking applications for a fully-funded Scholarship. However, Scholarships that are fully funded Singapore University of Technology and Design is giving Scholarships to all overseas students from all over the world for the academic year 2022 – 2023. Also, new students can apply for scholarships and provides a fully-funded Ph.D fellowship for exceptional full-time Ph.D. candidates

Fields of Study at Singapore Government Scholarship

  • Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD): focuses on long-term architectural and urban solutions to address the demands of buildings and cities.
  • Also, Engineering Product Development (EPD): focuses on cutting-edge technology-intensive products that span numerous disciplines.
  • Similarly, Engineering Systems and Design (ESD): focuses on large-scale complex systems whose performance and function are determined by technology and socioeconomic context.
  • Additionally, ISTD stands for Information Systems Technology and Design: it focuses on information systems that interact with the physical world, humans, and machines.
  • Also, Science and Math — concentrating on broad-ranging, interdisciplinary study based on scientific and mathematical principles and with practical applications.
  • Lastly, Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences (HASS): focuses on comprehending social and technological transitions via powerful humanities and social sciences lenses.

List of Singapore Government Scholarships for International Students

#1. President Graduate Fellowship (Ph.D)

  • All nationalities are welcome.
  • Tuition is paid in full.
  • S$3,500 (Singapore Citizens) 
  • S$3,200 monthly stipend (Singapore Permanent Residents)
  • 3,000 Singapore dollars (International Students)
  • Contribution to the CPF (Singapore Citizens only).
  • Annual conference funding assistance.
  • Sponsored abroad research, attachments, and industrial internships are available.

#2. SUTD PhD Fellowship

  • All nationalities are welcome.
  • Tuition costs in full.
  • S$2,700 monthly stipend, rising to $3,200 after passing the Qualifying Exam (Singapore Citizens).
  • After passing the Qualifying Exam, the S$2,200 was enhanced to $2,700. (Singapore Permanent Residents).
  • Additionally, CPF contribution of S$2,000, increasing to $2,500 after completing the Qualifying Exam (International Students), (Singapore Citizens only).

For full-time Ph.D. programme applicants, SUTD manages the following scholarships: Industrial Postgraduate Programme of the Economic Development Board (EDB) (IPP).

  • Singapore citizens and permanent residents are eligible.
  • Tuition costs in full.
  • Also, salary and CPF contributions are made on a monthly basis (remuneration determined by the company).

#3. External Scholarship

List of Required Documents

  • Soft copies of original undergraduate and/or master’s degree transcripts and certificates.
  • Also, Score report for the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).
  • “If English was not your medium of instruction during your undergraduate studies, please submit your IELTS or TOEFL scores no later than two weeks following the application deadline.”
  • Score report for the Graduate Record Examinations (GRE).
  • It is not essential, however it is strongly encouraged.
  • Names, titles, and e-mail addresses of your three referees
  • Documents supporting your claim.
  • Similarly, a softcopy of your ID card or necessary pages from your passport.
  • Softcopy of your Statement of Objectives (3,000 words).

Application Deadline

Last date of application submission and the scholarship deadline is February 28, 2022 (for September 2022 intake).
